What's on YOUR nightstand?

What's on YOUR nightstand?
Listening to the radio this morning as I am prone to do (I really should stop... lol) and was reminded of nightstands. More specifically, what is on the nightstand by your bed, or in lieu of a nightstand by the bed, maybe that small end table by the front door that you accumulate the oddest things.
On my nightstand I have a lamp, laptop, drop cord (or "extension cord"), and a pack of hooks for shelving. lol
On my table by the door I have a basket to hold the contents of my pockets of which I empty when I get home.
Also have a drill, medicine, and a small bag of computer stuff (CD's, ethernet and coaxle cable, MP3 player, etc).
So what's on your nightstand or table by the door?

Re: What's on YOUR nightstand?
I bought the nightstand and lamp that sits on it in January 1978 after I bought my first house (in Winston Salem). There is a clock radio/telephone, nail clippers and file, 2 flashlights (both work!), 3 remote controls - the one I use, plus the original ones for the TV and VCR (yes, it's a VCR), some receipts from my trip to Florida back in February, a book (The Mick, and yes, it's about Mickey Mantle), eye drops, Lamisil, a bag of Hall's Mentholyptus cough drops and some other assorted trash that if I went through I'd probably throw out.
I'm just glad that you didn't ask what was INSIDE the drawers of my night stand, 'cause I ain't gonna tell!

A lamp, a book on Jim Calhoun, a book on Coach K, two picture hooks, a pen, some cortisone gel, scissors, the remote to my iPod speaker, a belt clip for my Crackberry, a technical manual for some electronic gadget in the house (I'm not sure which one it is. That's why it's there, so I can figure it out!), and a small bottle of "hanitizer."

Re: What's on YOUR nightstand?
Telephone (actually the base for a cordless phone), a lamp, a clock radio, the TV remote, and the cordless phone itself. There are also 3-4 books on the floor next to the nightstand.

Oops, I forgot my wireless phone and base next to the radio! I usually bring my blackberry and set on the nightstand because it has an incredible alarm that wakes me up most of the time!!! ;)cl15876 wrote:A lamp, the Bible, radio/alarm clock, and TV remote.

I forgot to mention the telephone that's on the nightstand, too. It's the house phone, not my cell.

On my nightstand you'll find a lamp with a whimsical lamp shade, telephone, TV remote, clock/radio/CD player, a stack of CD's (Willie Nelson and Wynton Marsalis: "Two Men with the Blues," Harry Connick, Jr: "What a Night!", Yo-Yo Ma & Friends: "Songs of Joy and Peace," Louis Armstrong: "Louis Armstrong of New Orleans," Lionel Hampton: "Mostly Blues,"and New Orleans Brass Bands: "Down Yonder") and a stack of books (In Touch: Selections from the Living Bible, Solo: My Adventures in the Air by Clyde Edgerton and My New Orleans: Ballads to the big Easy by Her Sons, Daughters and Lovers edited by Rosemary Jones).

Yes. And we will come check to see if your recollections were accurate. If they weren't you will be punished. You have been warned, guess carefully.

Re: What's on YOUR nightstand?
Heh - I was thinking about posting what I think is there and then compare to what is actually there when I get home.DukeUsul wrote:Do I have to answer this from memory?
OK - what I recall:
Lamp
Clock radio/iPod device
Ceramic bowl full of miscellaneous unspecified objects (such as spare change, screws, string, buttons, pins)
Kindle recharger cord/adapter (my Kindle was there this morning, but is in my car right now)
Nail clippers
Tweezers
Lip balm
I may have a Bible on the corner, but I don't think so at the moment - it's nearby.
