Re: Basketball Banquet
Well, honestly THAT was THE best banquet and program we have EVER had!!!!! It was choreographed and staged to a tee. The assistant coaches were real pros at speaking. (Wojo gave his moving talk with no notes in sight.....very impressive.)Coach K was really warm and very witty! Although their emotions understandably got the better of a couple of the guys, it never got overly schmaltzy. The seniors' speeches were moving and to the point! Cameron looked gorgeous! The videos were powerful and beautiful. And when that banner dropped down from the ceiling, I thought the rafters would come down with it. The cheers were as loud as I've ever heard Cameron.
It was great running into some of you afterward. I met Sue71 for the first time. Somehow I had gotten the impression that she was flatter than that. She looked much rounder in person.
Seriously, let's have another championship banquet next year! These are FUN!
Love, Ima
