Looking To Next Year

Post by CameronBornAndBred » April 8th, 2010, 10:08 am

Two scenarios...Kyle stays and Kyle leaves. Either way we will be really good, but if he leaves we'll have to prove ourselves again to all of the doubters. I'm guessing with Kyle, the starting 5 looks like this..
Irving
Singler
MP1
MP2
Smith

If he is gone I'm guessing on this 5..

Irving
Smith
MP1
MP2
Dawkins

That last spot will be up for grabs between Dawkins and Kelly I think, but one of the other freshmen might work their way in, or even Carrick Felix. There is going to be some great competition for playing time next season.

What about Seth Curry? He's got a year's experience playing in college plus a year's experience learning the Duke system.

WOW..you're right! No idea how I forgot Seth. Replace either MP1 or Dawkins with him on my second list. On the first list replace MP1 with him. Sorry, Seth!

When the cupboard's pretty full, it's hard to see all the goodies in there!

in other news...Austin Riverrs has retracted his verbal commit to Florida....current rumor is he'll commit to Duke as part of the 2011 incoming class...
All that is gold does not glitter, not all those who wander are lost; the old that is strong does not wither, deep roots are not reached by the frost.

He has officially decommitted, but he's still looking at them, and UNC is now recruiting him along with Duke "and other schools". Hope he comes, but don't hold your breath. I think it's gonna be a long while before he says yes to anyone.

End of summer is the current projection. 'Holes looking at him, Teague (no way), Cook (maybe - but if we miss on Rivers I think Cook comes to Duke via the Nolan connection).

Rivers may be coming for the team banquet later this month.
