It's that time of year. We'll, it can be any time of year for me, but today the store had pork butts on sale (our little store around the corner has the best butcher shop on the planet, and great prices) so I'm smoking up a few pounds today. Getting it started now, the meat is on my counter with a rub applied waiting to hit the grill. This is what I cook with.
DukePA's guy also has one, his is the supersized version, he could probably do a small pig on it.
Gotta love cooking on the grill. It's 1:30ish now, I reckon it will be done by 8 or so tonight.

Chris - very nice and you've got me smelling the aroma from here! I just had the last remaining slice of cold pizza!

That sounds good with either the Abita or Avery bomber mentioned elsewhere.

Since sweetie pie is working at Domino's, we always some in the fridge. Maybe that's what inspired me to barbecue.

After 2 years of hard grilling, mine doesn't look quite as pretty as the one in the first picture. Still works great though. That's today's pork under the hood.

Not the thread to read when you still haven't had breakfast...

Just a reminder to our friendly northern neighbors, barbecue is a noun, not a verb  .

The brew you choose to pair with your 'cue....
THAT belongs in the Ymm, Beer thread.
Note: STILL haven't found great 'cue here in Lexington (KY, not NC). Good stuff, yes. Great? Meh.

Not yet. It's like football, this is Spring practice. Guests have to wait until the game on the field looks like the one on the chalk board

It came out very tasty, I haven't pulled it yet though, I'll do that this morning. I was too tired and buzzed last night.

Too buzzed to pull pork? I wasn't aware there was such a condition. That's usually the reason why I start pulling my pork.
Carry on.

There's an inappropriate joke or two lurking just beneath the surface here.
