3rd Football Painting

#3. Playing with colors a bit more, so it's not quite the same scheme as the last two.

I've enjoyed all of your paintings (as well as the ones on your other site) and they've reminded me that I need to buy some art (prints actually). I think I need to go out and get some Group of Seven stuff - especially anything by Lawren Harris as I absolutely love his work.

I love the splash of orange and red on the down markers! Another great job!

I have a suggestion - bring the paintings to the Football tour when they are in Raleigh and Durham this summer. When they were in Greenville, a local booster displayed the largest collection of Duke Football memorabilia not at Duke itself. It was quite impressive. I'll bet they'll let you go for free if you call them and tell them you'd like to do it. If you don't want to, I'll take them with me ;)

Seriously, what a great way for you to advertise your talents in the Triangle area!

Great painting, man. Congrats.

My wife buys a lot of stuff from the craft shows around here, and P. Buckley Moss and M. Vessey have their studios down around Staunton where my wife's from, so she buys some of the stuff they paint of local buildings and stuff. My problem is getting them framed for a decent price. The darn framing costs more than the prints sometimes.

If you ever paint something Duke related (like the gardens or some of the buildings) and come sell it at a show around here (Northern Virginia), I bet I could convince her to buy something. ;)

I'd LOVE a football painting, but can't see the wife going for it.
