Tiger Woods' caddie Steve Williams says he won't tolerate any heckling of his star player whenever the world's No. 1 golfer returns to competition.

This isn't a news story. Williams has always been an ass to the fans and photographers.

I 100% agree. I miss his playing golf, but I feel he's lying through his teeth. I'd be better with it if he said "Hell yeah, I slept with all them chicks, and I'll do it again!" At least then I would think he was honest.
Why do you think he's lying?

If he had cheated on his wife with one person, I'd be more inclined to believe him, but since he had a whole harem and made a lifestyle of it, I don't buy it.

So then you don't buy his line that he thought he could get away with it? And, you don't think that this could be a good thing for him in terms of growing as a human being?

There's a story that's told about Arnold Palmer's wife appearing on "The Tonight Show" with Johnny Carson. This would be Winnie Palmer, and the time was the late '60s. According to this legend, the following snippet was part of the conversation between Winnie and Johnny:

Johnny: Do you do anything for Arnold before a tournament as a sort of good-luck charm or superstition?

Mrs. Palmer: I kiss his balls.

Johnny: Well ... I bet that makes his putter flutter.

I have also heard the last line quoted as: "I bet that straightens out his putter."

Here is a lot of why I don't believe him...
PepsiCo's Gatorade said Friday that it has ended its business relationship with Tiger Woods.

I'm sure he was getting lots of pressure by the few sponsors he does still have (Nike, EA) to say something.

We are all sitting here on the outside with a limited view of the inside, yet we all have an opinion of what is really going on.

Quite frankly, I don't give a crap if Tiger ever plays golf again, stays with his wife, or folds his toilet paper a particular way. What Tiger does has no effect on me.

I don't care whether or not Tiger was sincere in his apology. That is between him and the people who love him. It boggles my mind how we as a society care so much about what famous people do when the camera is not on them. We have all been disappointed by people in our lives, yet we wouldn't be where we are today had some of those things not happened. That is more important to me than what some club swinging dude or song belting chick does.

I'm done here. I've already spent more time on this subject than I should have.

I want Tiger to get his Bot (a carry over joke from the High Heel thread) back on the golf course, hopefully this month so he plays in the Masters in early April. He's been a socially bad boy, but other than his wife's feelings, no one has been hurt. Time to move on.

I'm so tired of men whoring around on their wives and getting a free pass. I'd like for some high profile guy to be publicly emasculated to serve as a deterrent to all other guys who think they can cheat on their wives and young children and get away with it.

Mark Sanford, John Edwards, Tiger Woods, Bill Clinton, and ExLax, I'm looking at all of you.

I agree they should be emasculated!!!! If they can't keep their morals, integrity, values, promises, etc. in check, then they deserve the ultimate punishment! Treating this a sexual offense might be a good deterrent for some, however, that is why there are jails because criminals, thieves, liars, etc. still are compelled to break the laws of this country for whatever their motivations! Interestingly enough, it is my understanding that In 1778 Thomas Jefferson wrote a law in Virginia that contained a punishment of castration for men who engage in rape, polygamy or sodomy. (Thomas Jefferson, A Bill for Proportioning Crimes and Punishments 1778 Papers 2:492--504 http://press-pubs.uchicago.edu/founders ... IIs10.html) This is definitely an area that needs to be re-assessed! In spite of my beliefs on this issue, I think this tool would definitely discourage many from straying http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/e ... sPhoto.jpg :-?
