1980
Here I am in January of 1980 opening my college acceptance letter. (I only applied to one college.) My brother got home from school before I did that afternoon. He saw the fat envelope and grabbed his camera because he wanted to capture the moment on film.
Look at how the ice storm took down some of the branches from the pine trees in the front yard.

Yes. This picture also depicts what "Sun-In" applied in July and August looks like in January.
And those eyebrows! Seeing them now makes me cringe! Where are my tweezers?

1984:
I graduated from Duke.
Here's a picture of Uncle Terry's famous avuncular letter. I don't have mine any more. I brought mine in to the basketball office on the day that we got them in the mail. "Look at this," I said to Coach K.
He read it and asked, "Can I have this?"
"Sure, of course!" What else could I say to Coach K?
Coach K has my avuncular letter. I'd like to think that he saved it as a souvenir!

On the horizon:
1. 55K posts
2. 1500 topics
3. 100 members
As an added incentive to reaching those lofty goals, I would humbly submit that management should offer some perks, like say, a 1 year free subscription to CTN for any current member who is directly responsible for recruiting/posting any/all of the above. Whaddaya think Coach K?

I just noticed that I passed 2000 posts without even realizing it.
