Latest painting

Post by CameronBornAndBred » January 29th, 2010, 8:19 am

I have a juried show coming up, that I know a ton of people are going to seeing. Hopefully I win something, but I figured it might be smart to put a portrait in it. If I don't win, no big deal...but a lot of parents might decide they'd like a painting of junior done.

Please tell me you didn't simply sit down and knock that out last night after supper! I love all the colors in the white shirt. Love to play around in white, don't you? Here's hoping commissions come out of the show! Good luck, bud.

Good luck with the show. If you don't win or get some commissions then there are a lot of people that need their eyes checked!

(no bias here! :D )

Yeah, CB&B, what do you get for a portrait? PM me too, if you'd rather. I have been getting some inquiries myself. Haven't the foggiest notion of what would be fair to ask.

The prices are somewhat dependent on the size. The average is $400-$500, and most of them are around 20 inches. (Which is bigger after it's framed). Besides the actual painting, I take the photos to work from. With kids, I like to get them outside and running around, besides the light being better it makes for a great painting when they are playing. I have no idea who the kid in the picture is, when we in San Francisco she was at Fisherman's Wharf so I took a couple photos. (While trying to avoid looking like a creepy guy following her around :)) )

I showed and Adam your painting. They love the painting. Bud as me "What is PWing?" I explained the term to him. He looked at me like I'm totally nuts. :)) :))
