Interesting that this comes so close on the heels of the Gilbert Arenas incident, which has been ALL over the news and the talk shows around here. Many people have been saying that this could negatively influence young people to do crap just like this, because it mush be okay if somebody like G.A. does it. A lot of kids really idolize him, especially with the upbringing he had. I don't know if the boys that were involved with this are from a similar background, but it wouldn't shock me to find out that Arenas' influence had something to do with it.
A guy called into one talk show the other day and said that a kid had brought a toy gun to his son's junior league basketball game, waving it around, later saying it was okay cause Agent Zero did it.
Not saying it's right or excusing their behavior, just saying it's an interesting thing to think about.
