I've actually had them turn me down one time, out of literally hundreds of phone calls. It was due to a client having a pirated version of XP on their system that their previous IT company had sold them. It was pretty fun giving MS all of the contact info for that jackass.Jesus_hurley wrote: As has been discussed, I've never had a customer service rep at MS not give me a new code when I've called in so I guess they figure if you take the time to call you must be legit.

Re: Office (Word) 2007 Question
Had a customer who was ratted out by a disgruntled ex-employee. Rumor around town was some guys with badges came in and started locking down equipment. Big fines ensued.CameronBornAndBred wrote:I've actually had them turn me down one time, out of literally hundreds of phone calls. Disgruntled employees are like over 95% the reason MS busts anyone for licensing issues..and they can lay down some heavy fines.Miles wrote:Had a customer who was ratted out by a disgruntled ex-employee.
