PK (Kurunwune) is soooo strong. He is healthy. Look for him to play well on Saturday.

That's great news! I look forward to seeing what Coach Cutcliffe comes up with for this game.

From Heather Dinich on ESPN
Virginia Tech’s first four opponents are a combined 11-0 in games not played against the Hokies: Alabama 3-0 (4-0 overall); Marshall 3-0 (3-1 overall); Nebraska 3-0 (3-1 overall); and Miami 2-0 (2-1 overall). Marshall, Nebraska and Miami all suffered their lone loss to the Hokies, who are ranked sixth in the country in the AP poll with a Sagarin rating of No. 3 and a national strength of schedule ranking of four.

Good! (Although I appreciate the old looks when they move us down field)

Any hints?

How did Des look in practice today?

Good post on the DBR. Seriously. Did you get any infraction points for your harsh tone ;) ?

Yea, the east-west stuff doesn't put too many points on the board.

Boyette and Hollingsworth almost healed. PK should start. Des may not play. Conner Vernon is ready to play. Big Vince is hungry. Expect some trickery tomorrow. Coaches were angry and worked them hard all week having them do some things some guys haven't seen in years. Sounds like they are really ready to play.

I'm really impressed with my devils so far. They're hanging tough with the Hokies. I just hope they can keep it up! Go Devils! :ymdevil:

Bullcrap call by the officials.
We had it, they stripped the ball AFTER the Duke player was down. :poo: :swear: :swear:

I didn't get to watch the game, but the score and stats indicate to me that we played VT very tough today. I can totally be proud of this kind of performance, and a sustained effort on this level will no doubt win more games this season.

I was listening to the game on XM, and I was really proud of how hard our guys fought. They played really well, I thought. That would have been a win against a LOT of good teams. The Hokies just have too much talent and too good a coach. If we could play like that EVERY game, though, we'd be 3-2 or even 4-1 now. Let's keep it up.

Had that one funky call been reversed after being reviewed, VT would have been short a touchdown. Duke played those Hokies close despite some verboten play by VT (chop blocks and some other stuff outside the rules). Our tackling has improved so much over three or four years ago when there was a lot of shirt tackling or ankle tackling. Now our guys are doing a lot of waist tackling and when that didn't work, upper leg tackling. Wallace Wade must be smiling!

Ladies and gentlemen, we've got us a coach!

I talked with some folks who watched it on TV and the ESPN folks said it was the worst call of the day.

There will be some disagreement about some of the play calling, especially with 3rd and inches at the vt 9 yard line. Boyette in the backfield for -2 is absolutely the wrong call. Run, run, pass for 3 yards short of the 1st down is also the "wrong" sequence. Kicking off twice OOB and the short one that bounced up the middle to about the 20 and was run back to about the 40 were also poor choices.

Overall though, I believe most are pleased. More later.

Another call that was blatanly ignored by the shit official in the end zone was the holding/interference call NOT made as Kelley (?) had a step on the defender but the DB easily had a handful of jersey for several seconds to slow him down. One more stride and he makes that catch for another TD instead of a FG.
