LOL I'm older than you by a year. I suppose I just watched what my parents watched in the early-mid 80's. Cheers, MASH reruns, WKRP. Maybe it's just that they weren't into Magnum PI.

Personally I am just gonna wait until Tilly weighs in on this as she is the Magnum PI uberfan (not to mention she LOVES Hawai'i).
In my opinion, though it would have been an interesting turn had Higgybaby turned out to be Masters, my official vote is "Nope".

I can't pull the episode off the top of my head, but I recall Magnum speaking to Robin Masters in front of Higgins.
