When do they get out of school for the summer?
No telling. With all the global warming, they don't allow for snow days anymore, so they get tacked on to the end of the year. And they're getting as bad as NC - if it snows anywhere in the eastern time zone, they'll think long and hard about calling the day "just to be safe"...

Funny thing is, back in the day, us Catholic school kids would get out of school much later than our public school friends because of all the mackerel-snapping holydays during the school year. Now, my kids get out weeks later than the Catholic school kids because they start earlier and don't need two weeks off at Thanksgiving and Easter....

Oh I sure did, and commented about it as such over yonder.

NOTE: Technical issue#1: Cobras are not found in Madagascar.
NOTE: Technical issue#2: You think there really are skyscraper construction cranes in Madagascar?

Yes... I was watching it too.
I wondered about both those issues, particularly number 2. Madagascar just doesn't strike me as a skyscraper country.

They might not have cobras, but they do have a bunch of cool snakes.

I like that most are non-venomous, makes it a bit more enjoyable to go snake hunting. :D

At 8:47 AM? I need to wait until at least 9:00 AM for guacamole.

I've been up since 5:15 a.m. I think that qualifies for craving guacamole at 8:47 a.m. ;) ;)

You can count me among that group. ;)

Val Kilmer was a handsome kid back then.

And he wore my favorite t-shirt of all time in that movie:

I watched 'Teen Wolf' with a good friend last night. It too features a great t-shirt:

I wondered about both those issues, particularly number 2. Madagascar just doesn't strike me as a skyscraper country.
Technical issue #3: Clearly, the chase scene has the free-runner end up in an embassy, which would mean the city would have to be Antananarivo. I saw no Merina people (the ethnic group local to Antananarivo) in any of the scenes.
Technical issue #4: Clearly, the chase scene has the free-runner end up in an embassy, which would mean the city would have to be Antananarivo. Antananarivo is inland, far from the coast. The panorama shots where both Bond and the runner are on construction cranes suggests that they are on the coast. That simply can not be.
Technical issue #5: The mongoose in the cobra pit is not a species found in Madagascar. The endemic red ringtailed mongoose looks much different.

I tell you, you do NOT want to see my review of Madagascar & Madagascar 2. L-)
