No argument here, brother. Our Katie can turn the mood in our house faster than ANY of the other members. Mommy used to hold that title. No more. Maybe it's a female thing. ;)

Thankfully I don't think I'd want to get in the chat room from work during the day. I'll join you here so you don't feel lonely.

Me too!
'Sleds for Feds', is over and the newer, fresher, higher production numbers that the automakers have promised, will take between two and three months to materialize onto the dealer lots. The trains are running slow. I've had two days off in the middle of the week. Gotta go back tomorrow though.

CameronBornAndBred wrote:I've developed a lovely case of carpal tunnel over the last few weeks, I blame my new chair at work. I'm going to have to go to the doctor soon. It's excruciating...but I hate doctors. (No offense DD). It's way worse in my right wrist/arm than my left, so I move my mouse more left handed now. I know ILJ had a fugly experience with it, hopefully I don't have to deal with what she had to.
CBaB,

I would strongly encourage to get to a good hand surgeon and have that looked at. I WISH I would done that many years before I did finally go this year. My right hand was numb almost all the time and I had trouble finding a good position in which to sleep. It often woke me up at night. I couldn't use that hand to drive as it went numb almost immediately when on the steering wheel. Once it was numb, I had to dangle it to the floor behind the driver's seat. That really only gave temporary relief if I tried to use the hand at all while driving. I couldn't write with my hand for more than 1 minute before it went numb. Now, I have NONE of any of all that. Both hands never go numb now. I have normal use. Believe me, the pain and annoyance I went through after surgery and the slight scar on my right hand and the more pronounced one on my left are nothing to me when I think about the relief from the numbness.

2 other things:
1. If you are feeling real PAIN and not numbness, it may not be carpal tunnel but something else. A good orthopedic hand doctor will be able to tell you what it is.
2. Make sure you get a hand surgeon, not a general orthopedic doctor. I started out with a general orthopedic and due to scheduling, had to change to a hand surgeon in the same practice. That was the best move I made regarding the 2 surgeries. Not only will the more specialized doctor be more seasoned in this surgery, but he/she will work harder to reduce the remaining scar (especially if you mention it like I did).

Hope you can get some relief soon. Don't let your dislike of doctors keep you from being seen.

I barely lasted 8 weeks with my parents. Actually it may have been 6-7. It was when I first moved to LV before I bought my place. NOT a pretty sight. Butted heads w/ my dad A LOT.
