Depends on the house. It has a great power surge protecter. But to my way of thinking, the best part is this gizzmo cleans up the engery so the heatpump,air, applicance motors,what ever, don't have to work as hard, therefore, last a lot longer. Bud & I are impressed. So impressed, we ordered one. Must add: CTN members get a very nice discount.
