#11 Duke opened the season in a decidedly unranked looking fashion, losing to Cincinnati at Coombs on Friday. They pulled out game two with a 12th inning walk off homer tonight. Rubber match tomorrow.
It's opening weekend, so not much to judge by yet.

Duke got slaughtered today by Cincinnati, 19-5. Seemingly every time the Bearcats got up to the plate, they had the bases loaded in no time.

Losing two out of three to unranked Cincinnati is not the start to the season I was expecting.

Duke started off the weekend in disastrous fashion, losing on Friday to Cornell. It wasn't that they lost, it was how they lost. The final score doesn't reflect how bad it was, as Duke did ultimately plate 8 runs, but they just made the final score look more palatable (8-11).
From there, though, it was Duke looking like the ranked team that they are, winning 16-2 and 18-1. Big whew!
Current record is 4-3

Duke beat Virginia 9-5 in Charlottesville yesterday. Game 2 at 4 pm today. With all the NCAAT excitement, I am guilty of forgetting about the baseball game.

Wasn't able to watch this weekend but I followed the in game reports. Nice to feel back on track with a solid ACC sweep.

I had the game on mute while paying attention to the score and listening to music. I noticed a flurry of activity, and united it as I watched Chris Pollard and the ECU coach paying at each other.
Both got rejected. In baseball, that doesn't mean going to the locker room, but instead doing the walk of shame as you have to walk out the gate to the parking lot and leave the facility entirely. Quite the scene!
