John Madden retiring
What a bummer, he's one of my favorite sports personalities. I'm gonna miss him drawing his X's and O's all over my TV screen.

Re: John Madden retiring
Like Dick Vitale, I think Madden is a great voice for his sport. He's an icon who is enthusiastic and shows his love for the game each time he's out there.
That being said, I think he's a (not very good) analyst. Half the time what he says is just plain wrong or has nothing to do with what is going on on the field.
Here's to wishing John the best. I hope he stays involved in the sport and continues to be an ambassador for the game.

So, he's like Dick Vitale in more ways than one. Yes, he's great for the sport, but yes, it was time for him to retire. Just like Dickie V! Wow, so many similarities, it's staggering. I think they should hire Frank Caliendo to replace him. Nobody would notice.DukeUsul wrote:Like Dick Vitale, I think Madden is a great voice for his sport.
