Ok, well I will concede this battle. For now... I shall thus focus my efforts on buttering her up (metaphorically) for you.

Sham is taking the high road now because perhaps it has dawned on him that someday there may be a thread that says "Shammrogs Daughter is Hot"

She is lovely Sham, and certainly will be deserving of her own 'Hot' thread in 11 years or so.

I'm not touching that with a ten foot pole.

Why is there a heart in the little icon next to this thread title on the board list. How did that happen?

When you start a thread (or a post) you can choose one from the "post icon" line at the top.
^See!

Fair enough. I had noticed them but hadn't paid any attention to what they were.

So does that mean you plan to teach at a UNC feeder school?

You're at a major advantage. You will tower over her dates. Just do what Samuel Jackson did. He claims, in an interview with Terry Gross, that he would never speak a word to his daughter's dates. He would just stare them in the eye. On one occasion, he stared down this poor SOB and said: "Don't
screw my daughter." Would've worked to scare the dickens out of me!

I wonder how she would feel if she knew Mom was playing marriage broker here on the interwebs?
Her exact comments were
'you are such a geek' 'is he cute?' 'London huh?' "does he have an accent"
She does tend to prefer men who are slightly older and have more blood supply flowing to their craniums than to uh....other places.
Jackpot!! I am just hitting the market again myself now, although through a recent study I conducted, I do think now that I prefer women in the 33-37yr old range....and to colchar's comment about "you snooze you lose", I've always followed the motto of "A boyfriend is nothing more than a speedbump" so you may wanna lock that down pretty quick
I'll have to say Shamm when I saw this post, my first thought too was, is that girl even over 18?? Knowing that she is now, I still think you're a dirty old man. Just kidding.....kinda
