Maybe he can find an "I" in his new team. There's sure not one in "Duke".

Well this fucking sucks.
“I wouldn't want to spend my final years of college basketball anywhere else,” said Taylor in her original announcement. “I believe I am not quite done yet. I will be playing my final year of college basketball at Duke University."
That was Celeste Taylor's statement two weeks ago.
Today she changed her mind and is in the portal.

Add one of the lead WBB HC's to the going list.
Winston Gandy has resigned as Duke women’s basketball’s associate head coach with the expectation he will join Dawn Staley’s staff at South Carolina. A Duke spokesperson confirmed Thursday morning that Gandy has given notice of his departure and that Duke head coach Kara Lawson is “politely declining to comment further” on her top aide’s move.

Gandy and Taylor definitely appear to be related departures. It seems that Day-Wilson is also suddenly considering South Carolina, although Gandy's departure doesn't appear to be the reason she left Duke. Both of those things don't reflect well on our program.

Amile Jefferson is leaving to be an assistant coach for the Celtics, which leaves an opening on Coach Scheyer’s staff. I hereby nominate Nate James or Quinn Cook.

Best of luck to Amile, one of my favorite champions!
I'd love to see Quinn on the bench. I'd like to see Nate back, too, but I don't see it in this case. Nina's likely not gonna be on board with replacing a guy that earns the least on the staff with one that would command the most.

Quinn is my pick, too. I see him as a natural successor to Nolan Smith. With that said, Nate would not upset me.
