It is long past time to address the elephant in the room. A week or so ago that team appeared to be Kentucky. With the Wildcats righting their ship, the title of "biggest underachiever" is held solely by North Carolina. The Tar Heels lost the latest "save their season" game at NC State on Sunday and now carry the burden of an 0-9 Quadrant 1 record into the final two weeks of the schedule. UNC sits as "First Team Out" in this latest bracket update, which is probably generous, and is running out of time to do anything about it.

Yeah, I had heard in Cameron that the game was close down the stretch, but had to wait until I got home to look it up. Great result, made even more delicious by the fact that the cheaters had jumped out to an 8-0 lead to start the game and led for virtually the entire first half. They got behind in the fourth, fought back...and failed. Perfect.
