Well, hopefully what we've heard is true and he never paid attention in his briefings. ;)dudog wrote: ↑November 10th, 2020, 10:18 pmWould Trump sell or otherwise bargain with U.S. secrets?

How close will the FBI and CIA keep an eye on him? And what if he makes good on his "threat" to leave the country? And then there is this from the article:
"As a practical matter, there’s little that the Biden administration can do to stop Trump from blurting out national secrets."
I don't think that is true.

Re: Trump Vs Biden --- The Election Thread
I wonder how it must feel to be a lawyer standing before a judge, arguing that the election is rigged due to fraud, and having to answer "no" to the judge when he asks you if you have evidence for said fraud.
Trump's lawsuits are not going well for him, and they must be embarrassing for the folks representing him. (They're not embarrassed to cash his check, though.)

Re: Trump Vs Biden --- The Election Thread
I’ve seen two theories on his legal challenges. One that is starting to make sense: it’s a gigantic grift, aimed at funneling more money to his family. The fine print on the email to donors says that the funds will be used to pay off campaign debt. I read an article that says the money is going into a PAC that can funnel money straight to Trump. If this is true, it is consistent with reports from anonymous White House sources that claim he knows his legal challenges don’t have a chance.
Counter to this, though, is the insistence of certain administration officials that claim they’re preparing for a second Trump term. For example, Mike Pompeo has doubled down on claims of a Trump victory. They’re even trying to push through the Trump budget for February. Trump’s firing of the Defense Secretary, the one who said Trump couldn’t use the military on civilians, is a bit scary as well. He’s firing any and all officials who have pushed back on his blatant abuses of power. This part makes me worry that Cheeto Hitler is trying to stage a coup to stay in power. Given his ease in calling up the various right wing militia groups to act on his behalf, I will be nervous until Biden is sworn in and Trump is locked in a jail cell.

We knew Trump loves, and is loved by, the uneducated. Birds of a feather. Further proof: the same goes for the takers in this country, who though they don't pull their weight, somehow feel aggrieved.

Re: Trump Vs Biden --- The Election Thread
Let the grifting continue!
https://www.yahoo.com/finance/news/insi ... 18486.htmlTrump's solicitation website carries a banner headline that says "OFFICIAL ELECTION DEFENSE FUND" and "CONTRIBUTE NOW."
Scrolling down the page would take a donor to the fine print, which shows that donations are split between "Save America," which gets 60% of the money, and the RNC, which gets the other 40%. None of the money flows to Trump's official "recount" committee fund until Trump's Save America share reaches the legal contribution limit of $5,000, according to the disclosures.
That means that, before a dollar goes into the recount fund, Save America would receive $5,000 and the RNC around $3,300. Donations to the recount committee are legally limited to $2,800.
If a Trump donor gave $500, for instance, $300 would go to Trump's Save America PAC, $200 would to the RNC - and nothing would go to his election defense fund.

Yes, this is exactly what I was referring to in my post. I read an article in a reputable source - Politico, maybe - that says Save America is basically a Trump slush fund. Grifters gonna grift.CameronBornAndBred wrote: ↑November 12th, 2020, 10:01 pmLet the grifting continue!

306-232 are the final projected numbers with Ga going to JB and NC going to DT.

Now that Joe Biden is most assuredly the next President of the United States of America, let's take a moment to reflect that a draft-dodging, tax-dodging, serial sex-abusing, multiple-bankruptcy businessman and reality TV show personality was once elected the President of this great country.

I am worried about what he might do, either in the next two months, and/or after he leaves office. He can take all of those briefing books he never read and/or colored in and auction them off to the highest bidder. I wish he would just spend the next two months on the golf course and do nothing. And what is wrong with playing a course that doesn't have your name on it? Other than the fact that many don't want you there?
Re: Trump Vs Biden --- The Election Thread
1. Trump wants taxpayers to pay him through his properties.CrazyNotCrazie wrote: ↑November 16th, 2020, 10:39 pmAnd what is wrong with playing a course that doesn't have your name on it? Other than the fact that many don't want you there?
2. Trump wants to win, so he wants to play courses he knows.
3. As you say, no one wants him. I note that he has not played the Augusta National down here, presumably because he has not been invited by any member.
