Duke vs. Alabama

Post by Bob Green » August 27th, 2019, 5:05 pm

Game notes are up at GoDuke.com:

http://www.goduke.com/pdf9/5488755.pdf

Four freshmen starting: WR Jalon Calhoun (#5); RT Jacob Monk (#63); LT Casey Holman (#78); WLB Shaka Heyward (#42)

Starting cornerback Josh Blackwell (#31) listed as the Punt Returner.

Wide receiver, the big unknown for the season: Scott Bracey (#11), Jalon Calhoun (#5), Aaron Young (#81).

Duke is unbeaten (4-0) in August games under Coach Cutcliffe. B-) Time to make it 5-0.

Jim Sumner article at DBR:

The bottom line from Coach Cutcliffe:
Obviously, we’re going out there to win a football game.

Uniforms will be white pants, white jerseys and white helmet with Iron D. That's a sharp look.

I like the all white and all blue uniforms although I do prefer the Duke Script helmet over the Iron D. There is nothing wrong with the Iron D, I just prefer the script.

Getting extra excited!! Finally get some questions answered tomorrow, and (knock on wood) we are still relatively healthy after summer practice.

It was open, always is. crazietalk.net/chat

I think our team can be pretty proud, especially of the first half. I wish we had aired it out more in the first, but still, we played solid. Our defense got worn down in the end. (And what a bonehead move by Cerenord.)
