True Blue 'Cue Crew 2017 Season

Post by OZZIE4DUKE » July 15th, 2017, 9:15 am

I sent out an email to our members on Thursday. If you did not get it, please check your spam file, and if it's not there and you would like the information to join us this season, please message me (or email me if you have my email) and I'll get you the information.

To summarize, the cost for joining TB'CC remains at $75 per family (1 or more), but the cost for food has gone up to $15 per person, kids 15 and older. You can prepay for food and receive a discount. The info is in the email I sent, or will send to you!

Thanks! We're going to have a great season, both on the field and in Blue Devil Alley!

As I told Ozzie, we are joining TBCC this season, but we we are not renewing our season football tickets this year.

It was too much of a hassle to get in (and NOT) out of Wally Wade. We can watch most of the games on TV, and if we want to attend, tickets are always available on a walk-up basis. Bottom line: the Duke football experience ain't what it used to be.

We will try to attend a few tailgates and hang out with everyone, but I can't commit to which games we'll be attending now.

The cooking crew has made some grill upgrades in the off season, welding TNT's old grill as an addition to Blue Smoke and acquiring a smaller cooker. The small one won't be needed at all of the tailgates, but might show up for the longer cooking days.

We'll be stopping by to say hi, but since we've gotten so old and decrepit we can't stand around too long anymore. The OP's back just can't take it.

Article about halftime being strictly limited to 20 minutes this year:

Check out the picture (taken during the September 19, 2015 game against Northwestern). I clearly see Daryl, Dave Stewart, Penny, my Dad, Zeke and myself. Probably others I'm missing. Section 19 representing...

That's neat. And...halftime won't shorten the games. What will shorten them is if the refs quit hollering "The previous play is under review" every other down.

My interpretation of this map: http://www.goduke.com/fls/4200/web-docs ... EM_ID=4200 and this article: http://www.goduke.com/ViewArticle.dbml? ... 1662904#A3 is that I can park for free in the Chemistry Lot this season.

Do you guys reach the same conclusions?

Yes. That's been said to me by the ticket office a couple of times. First come, first served. :9f:
