Living so close to Greenville, this has been a bizarre hire to watch. Last week, the school announced they were announcing the new coach today. That of course didn't happen. Speculation was rampant that it was going to be Chizik, or the guy that got fired from USC. Fans are NOT happy with the new AD at all, they want that guy kicked to the curb.

News conference tomorrow.

Montgomery, a North Carolina native with a documented history of balanced success on the offensive side of the ball, will be formally introduced as the Pirates' 21st head coach at a press conference at 11:00 a.m. on Monday and begin his official duties at ECU on Jan. 1.

I talked with Scottie at the Football Banquet last night and congratulated him for his new Head Coach position at ECU!!!!

And told him, at ECU, the saying is
"THERE'S ONLY 1 CAROLINA, AND THAT'S EAST CAROLINA" (there used to be bumper stickers that stated that....... I am sure they still exist)
