This is no laughing matter.

PW-ing is a disease. A dangerous, contagious, sickness that can run amok on internet forums. At DBR, it was relatively contained on two threads within the Off-topic board, namely the Longest Thread Ever, and Ymm, Beer. Due to CTN's low number of active posters, it's a relative issue as to whose PW'ing is worse than others.

For more details, you can read this earlier thread:

My advice, sir? Just say no. Because once you catch it, it's hard to shake.

I've got it. I've got it bad. It's more an addiction than an illness, though. I've joined a support group, but it's not much help. "Hi, I'm Joe (HI JOE!), and I'm a PW. My last post was, um, 20 minutes ago out in the hall on my blackberry."

Seriously, though, it stands for the P word for an entry on one of these boards, followed by the W word used for a woman (or man) of ill-repute.

No, he's not just a PW. As I said a while back, he's the Queen PW. ;) I need an emoticon with a little crown. Like this:

Ummm, since we're your support group for this addiction I highly doubt you'll ever be able to get the monkey off of your back. In fact, I think you're pretty much fucked.*

Aw, come on, Lavabe, "wench" is NOT a term for a woman of ill-repute. I have great respect for tavern wenches. ;)

And to think, I remember when I had to talk him into posting on the DBR instead of me doing it for him. Really, there used to be a time when that happened. Several years, in fact. Probably when I weighed only 120 pounds...
