I might drink a soft drink once a week. I love iced tea...1/2 and 1/2. I never add artificial to any thing. I only have it when we eat out. I didn't know about the short term memory thing. As far a caffeine, I usually have 2 cups of hot tea in the morning with a little milk. I drink coffee maybe a cup a month. If I've ever had problems from caffeine, I didn't realize it. $:-\$

I checked the Appalachian Brewing Company's web site (based on Turk's post in the beer thread), and saw that they produce a diet root beer that is 15 calories. They use stevia, not aspartame.

Coming from a beer company, I might just want to try some of it.
