NASCAR 2014

Post by Lavabe » January 19th, 2014, 10:05 am

ESPN is reporting that the Chase format is being revised to be the top 16 drivers. You get to go into the Chase if you win a race. If there are more than 16 winners of races, then the top sixteen point values of the winners will make it into the Chase.

Ycch. :Boo:

I think NASCAR ought to open it up for everyone to compete in the playoffs. Likewise, the NCAA basketball tournament ought to do the same.:^o

WTF?

I heard about this from a bailiff today. It was in a general NASCAR fuss. Apparently they screwed up the traffic flow at Martinsville last year on the way out (cars ultimately headed north were funneled SOUTH, and those going east were funneled NORTH) and they also were fussing about the security money they had paid out. Yep, you were commish last year so should be able to reestablish the league again, perhaps as soon as today.

I'm having hernia surgery four days before the Daytona race opens the schedule. I wonder how well I will do making drug induced picks? Probably can't do any worse than I did last year.......

My hernia surgery recovery was very quick. I guess I didn't have time to spare.

I've been told that 48 hours later it could be like nothing had happened or I could still be stiff and sore a couple of weeks later. Since everyone is different, there is no way to know until afterwards.

I don't care about the surgery itself, I am just concerned about the possibility of developing a post-op infection. My Mum developed a nasty one after she had hernia surgery a couple of years ago and, after what went on with my foot last year (and is still going on X( ), I am understandably a little paranoid about infections.
