Virginia pays us a visit tomorrow evening at 7 pm. Will the team bounce back?

I like the quick turnaround after a loss. The team has to get back to work rather than stewing over spilled milk.

I would like to see a quick turnaround, but with an away game. I have no doubt we will handle UVA at home, it's the road games that I would like to have confidence in.

"This has to be the game where we look back (and say) that game versus Virginia is where our guys bonded together and became a real Duke team," -- Amile Jefferson
I hope he's right. I will say that even though Rasheed was the star of the game and the hero at the end, it was very much a team effort. I enjoyed the wholesale subs throughout the game; I've never seen that strategy before, and it was fun to watch. I wouldn't stick with it..it does not seem to be the best way to promote chemistry across the board since you are playing the same 5 guys for the most part throughout the whole game, but it worked last night.
I am looking forward to this team building on the win, as Amile thinks they can, and finally keep a double digit lead from the moment they get it until the buzzer sounds.

There are some comments over on DBR re this strategy and Sulaimon. Sulaimon has struggled this year being on the court alongside Parker and Hood. Conventional wisdom says he needs the ball in his hands to create offense. Last night, playing alongside Dawkins, Thornton, Hairston and Plumlee, Sulaimon is offensive option #1.

And interestingly, he was the one who got left in during the changeups. I haven't bothered to look at the minutes, but I did notice at least twice that he was still on the court after the swaps, so that meant his sub was still on the bench.

I was just taking a look at the five best plays on DB Planet. At about the 44 second mark in the first half, Hood is taking a three from in front of the UVA bench. Bennett is OUT ON THE FLOOR reaching out at him, much closer than any UVA player. It looks for all that is holy that he has to restrain himself from actually grabbing Rodney. He's surely close enough to do it. When are they going to enforce the rule that coaches need to stay off the court -- at least when play is on their end!?!?! :9f: X(
