Oh, God. I feel for you man. One of my wife's best friends got pregnant at prom night, got married a few months later. Her daughter just turned 16. The husband/father and I have become friends. He's been dying a little bit inside ever since she turned 13. He so desperately wants to protect her, but what can he say to her?

My daughter's 1. I'm already freaking out. You'll have to keep me updated so I can learn from your trials. @};-

Large unfriendly looking dogs work pretty well too. Lavabe - starting training Georgia now to show teeth and throw hackles when any young male comes within 3 feet of her.

Judging from your avatar, you have one major difference ... your daughter has two older brothers. #:-s #:-s

No one will get within 5 feet of your daughter while growing up. [-x [-x

devildeac: "convent" is not an option. :))

windsor: Georgia already attacks everyone who enters the house ... she wants to play SOOOO much that the sharp nails invariably scratch everyone. :o3

Yea, I already have people telling me how sorry they are for her and any guy that wants to date her. The only thing that worries me is that the boys will be headed off to college right as she turns 16 and hits her junior year! 8-}

As the father of a beautiful daughter who has now grown up and married, I suggest you read this list of rules

I found that rule #9 was both the most important and the most effective "deterrent". :D :D

I like number 8, except that movies with chainsaws have a tendency to make a girl jump in her boyfriend's lap out of fright. That is NOT a good thing. I prefer disgusting comedies that make men look like pigs.

I also like the one about nailing the guy's pants to his waist. I've wanted to do that sometimes just watching the young punks trudge around our neighborhood. I'm convinced that this fashion trend has led to a lot of the gun violence amongst inner city youth. They WANT to run away, but they can't, so they start shooting out of self defense.

God forbid I ever have a daughter. I'd feel soooo sorry for the families of anyone who had tried to date her as losing a child is never easy.

I might have to read this whole thread again today. it is either do that or grade mid-terms so what do you think I'm gonna choose?

I hope DT reads this so he can get an idea of some of the ridiculousness that goes on, and is in fact encouraged, around here!

Just out of curiosity, does anyone remember the thread in which the marriage talk originated?

Was it in the LTE 2.0? Just a guess.

I re-read this thread. Yes, it's still funny. :))

You might be correct but there is absolutely no way I am wading through 600+ pages just to find it!

I had forgotten how funny this thread was. Good stuff. My daughter is still hot, and she is now financially independent. Bonus.
