Paulus works out with Packers
http://www.wralsportsfan.com/duke/story/4946997/
Wasn't sure where to put this as Greg played basketball at Duke, but he has apparently worked out with the Packers.
Mods feel free to move as appropriate. Oh wait, that's me. I'm leaving it here for now. ;)

Never thought I'd see the day when Tilly was a mod. Congrats, babe.
That's a really cool story about Paulus. I hope somebody picks him up. Maybe if he can ride the bench behind a good QB for a few years and get back into football mode in practice, he can have a decent NFL career. Or maybe he can get a spot as a third receiver and be a useful weapon for a team, like Randle El was for the Steelers. It'll be interesting to see.

If Greg is picked up by the Packers, I just might have to watch more Packers games.bjornolf wrote:Never thought I'd see the day when Tilly was a mod. Congrats, babe.

LOL @ Tilly. It would be fun to see GP3 with pads and a helmet on.

Paulus & the Packers?
I just checked the date ... it's not April Fool's Day:

I didn't know where to put this... basketball? football? I'll leave it to the mods as to where to put this thread.

Re: Paulus works out with Packers
According to Jim Rome today, since his workout with the Packers, about half a dozen NFL teams have shown interest in him. I guess that means his workout must have gone pretty well in Green Bay. I've heard mention that he might make a good Randle El type player, combo receiver/QB/RB type. I could see that. Maybe he could get in the wildcat offense somewhere.

If worse comes to worse, maybe he could play in the UFL for a couple seasons and then hitch a ride on an NFL roster!

Re: Paulus works out with Packers
Just to clarify, he worked out in Durham, throwing to Eron Riley. But like you said, it's pretty good news for him for so many to show interest. I think they must have seen promise for him to be checking out how a year in college could help. I wonder if they "worked out" Eron at the same time.bjornolf wrote: I guess that means his workout must have gone pretty well in Green Bay.
