Duke Vs WFU 12pm 11/23
Not really bringing up game discussions, but the time has been announced. This is a trip I'll probably be making, so a noon kick isn't bad in my eyes. Means I don't have to drive home late.

We may go. If Mom comes to town before the game (she is coming in for Thanksgiving, but she isn't sure when she will be in) it is less likely we will go. Our friend David from church would like to get a group to go, provided they all wear .

And it means the entire game will be played before sundown so I can reduce the number of blankets I take.CameronBornAndBred wrote:Not really bringing up game discussions, but the time has been announced. Anybody got a spare ticket or know where I might find one? I'm really thinking about just driving up on Saturday and figuring things out once I arrive.

I am planning on just getting one in the lot, I'm sure there will be plenty.wilson wrote:Anybody got a spare ticket or know where I might find one? I'm really thinking about just driving up on Saturday and figuring things out once I arrive.
Another option is stubhub, they are as cheap as $10. I'd get mine now, but I want to watch the weather.

Re: Duke Vs WFU 12pm 11/23
Obviously this is a game we should win, and want to win. Wake is coming off a bye week, they need two wins to be bowl eligible, so obviously they need to beat us if they want a post-season. Their big play maker, Campanero, is out. I expect us to run all over them as we did against Miami, but I also expect Wake to put up a solid fight. (At least for one half.)
TNT was talking about how Cut has preached having a team that can play 4 quarters of football...this year he's finally got that team and the benefits are obviously proving their worth. I'm actually enjoying the 2 QB system for once, too. For years, I hated it, and it seems that no matter the coach, Duke always employed it. Now I'm happy to see either of our 2 guys on the field.
Saturday should be fun. LGD!!!

http://www.goduke.com/ViewArticle.dbml? ... EM_ID=4200“You can look at all the games we’ve played this year and a lot of them have been really close,” said Connette. “In quite a few of them we’ve been down in the fourth quarter. And just last week against NC State we were down in the fourth quarter. We put a drive together and scored and the defense made some good plays. This week in the fourth quarter, it was close … Just that back and forth, it’s something that we love because we love competition. We love the process of what’s happening here and playing and practicing. That shows up on the field any time it’s a close game. We love winning in the fourth quarter. We know we’re not always going to be able to win in the first, second, third quarter. The fourth quarter is where you’ve got to win ballgames and I can’t say enough about our play in the fourth quarter.”

Wolfpackdevil told me on Saturday, at Tailgate, Wake NG Nikita Whitlock is banged up. Whitlock being less than 100% would be a huge blow to Wake's defense.

Yes, it would... not only his physical presence diminished but also the emotional leadership diminished.... big deal for Wake.Bob Green wrote:Wolfpackdevil told me on Saturday, at Tailgate, Wake NG Nikita Whitlock is banged up. Whitlock being less than 100% would be a huge blow to Wake's defense.

Re: Duke Vs WFU 12pm 11/23
Who would have thought we would be on the brink of a 10 win season? It truly has been special to watch this year. Even though I believe we are much much better than WF, Tanner Price and Co. will put up a fight. This is a WF team that will be celebrating senior day and needs a win to have a chance at going bowling. But over these past 6 weeks, we have been so strong in all three phases of the game that it is hard to imagine us falling apart against a very mediocre team Saturday. Wake looked TERRIBLE in a 0-13 loss to Syracuse a few weeks ago. The only way I see us losing this game is if we have 4 or 5 turnovers which is always a possibility. But I have a feeling that we will run for at least 200 yards and win by 15-20 points.
Just a fun stat... We scored TWICE as many points on Saturday (48) than Wake has scored in their past 3 games combined! With our defense playing like it has been, there is no reason we should give up many points at all this week.
DUKE - 31
Wake - 13
GO DUKE!!!

So comparing this to last week's, Boyd moved from "out" to not even listed, that's pretty nice. Plus, it gives us another corner. Still amazed our list is so short this time of year.Bob Green wrote:PROBABLE

I expect to see us pound away on the ground at Wake.

As Josh Snead quoted Cut after the Miami game, I too hope we can "call it and haul it."Bob Green wrote:Here is Patrick's preview at Blue Devil Nation:
