On chat last night, I was mildly surprised/amused to learn that the person known as LORAN honestly feels the game of basketball is all about Xs and Os, and that heart and attitude have little to do with it. I suggested he read a Coach K book or two. Nevermind that. Just read these comments from Mason, Coach K and Curry after the game. The comments (source: DBR) address Mason's poor first half and how Coach and he handled it at the half and beyond:
"Mason Plumlee said he and Krzyzewski had some conversations at the half and they weren’t talking Xs and Os. 'He just wanted me to start playing. I really wasn’t playing in the first half. Between us, we had a talk.'
'We weren’t as aggressive as we needed to be,' Curry said of the opening half. 'We came out in the second half and changed that. We came out with a lot of emotion, a lot of energy. Me and Mason came out and tried to be as aggressive as possible.'”
Krzyzewski added “I give emotion. I’m going to give my team whatever I think my team needs.”
Just some Cliff Notes for Loran.

Me too. I know some awfully nice things he's done that he'd be embarrassed to have passed on because to him they were just the natural thing to do.
Bless his tall, tall heart.

All of the 3 boys seem very well grounded, and have been fortunate enough to have brothers playing along side of them. Their sister was attending prep school in Raleigh.
