TBCC Sears Some Steers

Post by CameronBornAndBred » April 14th, 2013, 4:01 pm

Yesterday TNT and I swapped out slow and low cooking for fast and hot in the NC Steak Cookoff. It was also the first time we got to try out the new grill that we'll have at tailgates. We were in ECU country, but we loved the amount of Duke love we got. Seriously..not just at the contest but around town. We went to Lowe's in the morning and one employee sees our shirts and hollers out "Anything y'all need, I mean ANYTHING, let me know and I'll get it. Love those shirts!"
A very refreshing change from the usual anti-Duke / pro baby blue attitude we usually get. We had a great day with some nice results. There were 29 teams in our division, 39 total.
We drove away happy. :D

Congratulations! You guys missed a great time at Spring Game, but at least you were off winning awards and not just goofing off. :))

The steak I can figure out...but what was the appetizer? Inquiring and hungry minds want to know...

I'd guess it was their (almost) "world famous" ABTs.

What about the crab-filled mushrooms?

SPICY crab filled mushrooms. They were way tasty and only killed 2 people. But we didn't turn those in. We also made our ABT's, which also killed 2 people.
