He tweeted that he's coming back to play at Duke next year!

And he's switching to #34, honoring a bunch of former Duke players. OK, he said to honor Ray Allen, but I like my version better!

After wearing No. 20 his first three seasons, Dawkins will switch to No. 34. That number was worn for the last four seasons by Ryan Kelly, Dawkins’ roommate and close friend.
But Dawkins said the decision has more to do with his respect for Ray Allen, the longtime NBA sharp-shooting guard who also wears No. 34.
The new number, Dawkins said, is part of his new outlook as he prepares to finish his Duke career on a high note.
“I want to get a fresh start and be a different player than I was,” Dawkins said. “In October you will see a different Andre Dawkins.”

This is great news for Dawkins and Duke. I'm cautiously optimistic the year off will result in Dawkins returning focused and that he will have developed a complete game on both ends of the court. He can be instant offense with that sweet jumper, but if he has improved his handle and willingness to attack the rim off the bounce, he has the potential to be downright unstoppable!
My perfect vision for Dawkins is having him set up in the corner and then blow by his defender down the baseline for the bigtime slam. Next possession the defender backs off a step and Dawkins drains the 3-ball. Repeat...repeat...repeat...
Good luck Andre, we are all rooting for you!

Great vision, Bob. I like it, and I'll second everything you said!

I offer thirds, even if the last line kinda sounds like shampoo instructions.
