Apparently Andre Dawkins has decided to enroll at Duke a year earlier than expected. What a great gift in the month of July!

That is HUGE news. If he can come along like Williams did and become a starter by the end of the year, that would be awesome. Don't know if he'll be able to make a huge difference right from the start (Williams was able to come along slowly cause we had some good players ahead of him to start...we don't have that luxury this year though), but if he can hit his stride come the end of the ACC season and the tourneys, that would be HUGE. Plus, he'll be a year ahead NEXT season and can take some pressure off the impressive class that's supposed to be coming next year.

Sorry, that wasn't worded well. We DO have good players there, we just only have a couple instead of a bunch.

I doubt he'd displace Jon or Nolan as a starter in the backcourt. I'd be happy if he could give us 10-20 MPG to spell those guys for foul trouble and/or fatigue.

Now that he's coming this year, that makes next years class less impressive. :roll: Unless, of course we get Harrison Barnes and/or a highly ranked PG, like Knight or Irving.
