RIP Michael Clarke Duncan (1957-2012)

Post by bjornolf » September 4th, 2012, 6:55 am

One of my favorite actors passed away yesterday after spending a couple of months in the hospital after suffering a heart attack in July. Thoughts and prayers to him and his family. :wizard: :ymhug: :YMPRAY:

Michael Clarke Duncan was a Gentle Giant! He never fully recovered from the heart attack he had in July.

The 6-foot-5, 300-pound Duncan appeared in dozens of films, including such box office hits as "Armageddon," "Planet of the Apes" and "Kung Fu Panda,"

Duncan had a handful of minor roles before "The Green Mile" brought him an Academy Award nomination for best supporting actor. The 1999 film, based on the Stephen King novel of the same name, starred Tom Hanks as a corrections officer at a penitentiary in the 1930s. Duncan played John Coffey, a convicted murderer.

This is from the movie, Armageddon, when the men are getting their physicals and mental evaluations. Bear in his animal print underwear is one of the funniest scenes in the movie.

Rest in Peace Michael Clarke Duncan!!
