1. I am not a babe.
2. I do not own any pointy-toed shoes, stilettos or otherwise.

I'm watching Close Encounters of the 3rd Kind on SyFy network. #1, I forgot how good it it is. #2, I forgot how much Richard Dryfus looks like me, especially at that age, right down to the side burns. B-)

Man, my Tivo is empty of recorded shows, so I was forced to consider watching (gasp) live TV. The first page of my Tivo guide shows my options as AMC - "Oh Brother, Where Art Thou?" and on IFC, "Fight Club."

I think I'll go read.

Even if you had seen "Fight Club," you couldn't talk about it.

Another rocket scientist in court this afternoon. A couple is in court for review of custody of their kids (Grandma has the kids) and to update the Court on the kids' school attendance. When the kids didn't go to court last year because the parents were too sorry to get them there, the Court placed the kids with Grandma.

Judge: Sir, you look better than you did the last time I saw you.
Father: Thanks, I appreciate that.
Judge: And I don't smell any alcohol on your breath this time, either.
Father: That's 'cause I'm eating Certs, Judge.
