Lance Thomas was in last night's game for 46 minutes, more than any player on either team. :D :duke:

Alas, I must purchase the new Crimes book from the UNC School of Government. I'm on the UNC website, and it's asking me to set up a password. This means that if I forget my password, the UNC SOG must send it or a hint to me.

I'm having sooooooooooo much fun putting together this password.

You all can imagine the password possibilities!

Operation: Biscuit Run is now complete.

I just ordered one of everything from the Bojangles breakfast menu, including a six pack of Bo Berry Biscuits. They're in the freezer now. Tomorrow they'll be packed on dry ice and mailed to my brother for his birthday.

I wish I could be there to see his face.

Felodipine, maybe? For his "high blood," er, hypertension.

(I'm not a doctor, but I do have to figure this stuff out from time to time.) When my brother was in medical school, they had a specific class which dealt with country medicine and names that people out here in the sticks call their ailments and maladies. They also took a field trip to a farm so that they could see how people got injured in certain pieces of equipment.

Here are some examples of country medical terms:

Hard attack = heart attack
Athletic seizure = epileptic seizure
Cadillacs = cataracts
Oldtimers Disease = Alzheimer's
Chicken pops = chicken pox (Hey, even I called them "chicken pops" when I had them.)
Roaches on the liver = cirrhosis of the liver
Prostrate cancer = prostate cancer
Fireballs of the Eucharist = uterine fibroids
Sick as hell anemia = sickle cell anemia
The sugar = diabetes

:9f:
You forget the smiling mighty Jesus (aka spinal meningitis) :D .
If I were afflicted by spinal meningitis, I'd wish to call it smilin' mighty Jesus, too! Or maybe, spell it Geezus.
I'd also like to be able to 'wrentch' (rinse) it off.
It isn't just related to medicine. Up here, country folks will tell you that something belongs to you by uttering something that sounds like this..."This'un is mine, and that'un is urine. :twitch:
They are also quite fond of pronouncing an invisible 'T' on the ends of words. Ex.ph.- Wonct (once) Twict (twice), etc.

Vibes for Sasha Schnauzer, who is passing blood this evening. I think she has a bladder infection. I noticed she has had to pee more often lately.

We are going to the vet in the am. :O3

Kudos to you and Kelly for the Biscuit Run! There should be more folks like you in the world! Now to Bojangles - had to look that up and see what it is....I'm in Iowa and we're a bit shy on some of these places! I am positive your brother is going to love his BD gift! Great idea! :)

Yup. Those are pretty much the symptoms of a bladder infection.
