Still raining in Daytona, with more rain coming. Once it stops raining, it'll take two hours to dry the track.

I REALLY hope they can get it in today.

Monday sucks for me because it is Trade Deadline Day in the NHL. To me, that should be a national holiday here in Canada. TV coverage starts at 8am and runs until 5pm or 6pm depending on the network. The actual deadline is 3pm Eastern but trades always filter in after that because they have to be approved by the league before they are announced. I spend all day in front of the TV on deadline day but only switch between three channels to watch their coverage of the goings on. I suppose I could use the picture-in-picture feature and keep the race on in the bottom corner of the screen or something.

69 laps into the race, and it has become the giant roulette wheel for most of those who remain in the race. This is like Talladega, except for one thing:

the crashes occurred early on.

By the end of lap 6, GONE were JJ, KuBusch, Patrick, Bayne, and Ragan (who is thankfully alive).

As Blech stated, you wait 36 hours, and you crash up early in the race. Nice work folks (extreme sarcasm and disappointment).

Danica is just now back onto the track.

JJ was tapped a little by Elliot Sadler (Sadler made the air unstable by JJ), making JJ slam into the outside wall. He was then hit 2 or 3 more times by people trying to avoid him.

Already, the choices have been greatly affected.

For that matter, Dinger is off the course with an accident on pit road (he hit Newman, who had lost a wheel).

Lap 72: Kenseth in the pits, with temperature issues.

Nemecheck goes into the garage.

NOTE: At this point, only like 4 of us have but one driver who was in the garage for 10 or more laps.

SERIOUSLY, most of us have TWO choices who have been in the garage for 10 or more laps each.

Kenseth back on the track in 32nd.
Edwards pathetic in 25th.

CAUTION: LAP 81
Jeff Gordon's engine blew up. No one caught up with his issue. Looks like the temperature gauges were not working.
Credit to JG for giving a warning signal to MM to avoid a major accident.

Looks like it's only 4 people with 2 drivers out.
The remaining 6 people have at least one driver each with 10 or more laps in the garage.

Weird: $200,000 to the driver who leads the halfway mark.

LAP 84: Two laps after the restart, CAUTION
Ambrose turns around Terry Labonte.
NO ONE caught in it. Labonte did not tag the wall, so he should be back in it soon.

Truex gets the midway money. He took the lead off Biffle.
Hamlin now in the lead. Hamlin is racing well. Kenseth is doing well again.
105 of 200 laps done. In the event that rain starts up, the race can now be official.

50 LAPS TO GO, and they are racing like mad now, as the pit chiefs are reporting that weather is coming along.
At this second, JOEY FREAKIN LOGANO has the lead. BUT THEN, KENSETH takes the lead.
FWIW, Edwards is sucking because he is having fuel pressure issues.

42 LAPS TO GO: CAUTION
Stremme blows something, then spins around. No major collision with anyone. EVERYONE comes in to pit. They can now all make it to the end. Most are taking four new tires.

OMG!!
2 laps into the yellow after the pits...
JP MONTOYA, under caution, slams into the JET DRY vehicle, causing the JET fuel to rupture and CATCH FIRE. Something like 200 gallons of jet fuel on fire. JPM is okay, but his car is destroyed. They're saying that he had a vibration, and just lost control. The guy driving the JetDry is also okay.
The fire could damage the race surface.
Fire trucks are trying to contain the fire.

This MAY end the race, pending what damage is done to the race track.
OMG: BLANEY has the lead, followed by Cassill, Raines, Gilliland, and Kenseth.
RED FLAG.
When will the rain come by?
