Duke vs. them

Post by CameronBornAndBred » November 23rd, 2011, 1:50 pm

“It’s our Super Bowl,” Duke junior quarterback Sean Renfree said. “We aren’t going to a bowl. We know that. We’re playing an in-state rival who a lot of people, especially our team, dislikes.

“So we are going to throw it out there, put everything on the line and do what we can with reckless abandon this week to get a win.”

I wish we had played with that attitude more often this season.

Woohoo!!! Game day has arrived. This season has certainly been disappointing from Day One and the loss to Richmond, but bringing the Victory Bell back to Durham would certainly make it end with a huge positive! I'm off to an optometry appointment this morning and then I'll be camped out in front of my computer watching the game.

See you all in Section 21!

Game prediction: Duke 28, Carolina 26

How did the guys seem to you, Tilly? Dejected? Relieved? Up or down? Were there many people there? It's great that you guys went over. We couldn't make it.
Love, Ima

Highly commendable and a great gesture from the both of you. :happy-bouncyblue:

tarholes will still end up where they belong. :9f: ...cheap-shooting, bragadocious bastards.

The BB team paid the price for their insolence last night. They won't learn any humility, however.

Dejected and down, definitely. Coach was the first one off the bus and he could not have looked more bummed.

As we were leaving, I told him I liked his look, v-neck sweater and tie. Also told him that I couldn't wait for next year.

Would have been great if you could have been there. Other than family members, we were the only fans there.

I hope it meant something to the team. If they had won, there definitely would have been a lot of people there. I wanted to show them that win or lose, there are some of us, present company included naturally, who love them.
