This morning, I am emailing the animal shelter with her photo now that I have internet access again. I have faith that someone will find her and get her back to me safely. I miss her tons, but I know she will come home.
When she returns to Bud and Nancy's, are you gonna make her walk/run home or will you send her bus/cab fare? :D
Don't do the 'Griswold' method :twitch:

You know, that ain't funny.

Thanks to everyone for the vibes, and especially to those who are out keeping an eye open for her. Still no word. :(

Where did Xiola escape from? Efland? Thats a very rural area. Does he/she have the computer chip?

I thought about you when I passed that exit on Tuesday.

:ymhug: Prayers for a safe return.

I was at the vet yesterday (bulldog has a broken toe, we think, poor limpy dude), and while I was there, some gentleman brought in a pretty, yellow lab. He said, "this is the lost dog I called about," and the office staff were so happy to see both him & the dog, and someone got on the phone to the owner right away. I immediately thought of you, CB&B, and hope you have a similar outcome soon!!! :wizard: :wizard: :wizard:

Oh BUMMER! When I opened this thread and saw the pic, I thought it meant she was home. Then my heart sank.

Truth is every animal breaks our hearts sooner or later. We have to be prepared when we befriend one for the fact that we will probably be here after they are gone.

Still too soon to give up on Xiola, though. Still vibing and hoping she sees the error of her ways very soon and returns to the guy who really loves her.

I'm not giving up..and honestly it wasn't the error of her ways that drove her to get out, it was that she has an extreme case of separation anxiety; I have no doubt that she was merely trying to find me. :(

Still Vibing like crazy for a happy reunion. Not long ago we launched an all out search for a sheltie that got spooked (the owners had just moved) and slipped out the fence. We found her thin, dirty, matted but otherwise just fine after 6 weeks. Dog's have an amazing ability to take care of themselves.
All that is gold does not glitter, not all those who wander are lost; the old that is strong does not wither, deep roots are not reached by the frost.

Stranger stories have come true that She may end up tired and dirty after a long walk to Morehead City.

Many years ago, My FIL and his father, collected a dog that just showed up at Granddaddy's farm. There was no county shelter at the time. 'Lucky' only had 3 legs. The left rear was gone.
Early one morning, 'Lucky' got to go for a truck ride out 20 miles deep in the country, where he was released to some folks with kids that wanted him. After release, the two guys made a few sales calls to nearby clients along the way home. Granddaddy was a fertilizer rep. (in more ways than one) They also stopped for lunch at the drugstore in town. Late that afternoon when they got home, 'Lucky' was laying on the front porch awaiting them. :twitch: He lived there happily ever after.

That farm was the only place that I've ever heard of, where cats, dogs and mice all ate from the same dish...at the same damn time! This IS a true story.
