Kelly appears to be doing much better today. Her pain is subsiding, and becoming more manageable and there are still no signs of infection. We just took a walk around the hospital floor and she kept a good pace. She's doing breathing exercises every hour and is in good spirits, all things considered.
Her blood count has started to decline, but the nurse indicated it's not a major concern. We want to talk to the surgeon and hear his plans so that's the only issue today. Still no official word on when she can go home.
I hope I can talk to the surgeon today and I'll follow-up with you as soon as do. Thanks for keeping us in your thoughts and prayers.
Thanks again everyone.

More gentle hugs and prayers headed Kelly's way!

Vibes, thoughts and prayers are on their way from Down East. As a recent hospital patient, I know this takes a toll. Sorry for her accident and that y'all are having to go through this.

Just spoke with the surgeon. He's not worried about the decreasing blood count and he's going to take Kelly off of fluids and morphine tonight. We have a tentative release for tomorrow, pending blood work results (that they'll take 2AM - AM). Kelly is exhausted, and a bit overwhelmed but I'm really excited and can't wait to have her home.
I've got a ton of work at the house I want to finish so she comes home to a sparkling, comfy home. It's crazy how much of a mess you can make when you're not even there!
Thanks to everyone for all of your thoughts, prayers, and vibes. Keep em coming for a release tomorrow!

Hemoglobin still dropping.
Kelly is getting a blood transfusion today, and will be staying another night. Had a rough night last night so it was a bit hard for her to take the news today. Hopefully the transfusion does it's job and she's all better tomorrow and ready to go home.
Thanks again for all the vibes.
