Vibes for Weezie

Post by OZZIE4DUKE » June 18th, 2011, 8:09 pm

Weezie posted this OY but we all know where the healing vibes reside.
Knee surgery coming up, I'm scared!

Help me out folks! Having a scope done next week, meniscus clean-up, aisle 7 .

Anybody have any advice? I'm terrified of more pain but it has to be better than what I'm dealing with now, right? RIGHT?!!! :-(

I've nursed the OP through two knee surgeries and a replacement. No need to be scared. You will feel so much better SO soon. The MOST important thing is to be faithful with your PT. That's the key. Don't bother with the surgery if you aren't going to follow through with that.

If you need an experienced nurse, I'm your man! Vibes on their way. Keep us posted on your progress, Weez.

Glad to see that it's a scope job, weezie. Get it taken care of!! ILJ has been running into loads of issues with her knees, and has had scope work done before. Pay attention to physical therapy!! The time you put into therapy is VALUABLE!!

ILJ also said two other things:
1) Follow doctor's orders on ice and elevation.
2) Do NOT rush back to work.

It came...it went. I had it too, back in '95. Glad there's no troubles. Follow through on that therapy. :-BD

Is it Wednesday already? Whew, time sure disappears when you are flattened on the couch dozing to the sound of the only sporting event on during the day,,,cubs baseball, yikes.
Thanks for all your kind thoughts and good wishes; my surgeon said he found all sorts of interesting bits and chunks to clean out of the knee :-o but I'm coming along.
I might even convince my daughter to take me with her to the grocery store today so I can try out one of those sweet motorized carts at Wegman's.
All in all, it's been super painful and tiresome but it's now time for the healing to begin. Happy early 4th to some great Americans here who were all very kind in sending powerfully good thoughts my way.
