Just when you thought the roster for next year was set, a new name comes up. DeAndre Daniels - a 6'8" Forward (with a 7'2" wingspan!) is rumored to be visiting the weekend of the 15th, and if you believe Kyrie, will join the 2011 recruiting class. Obviously he'd join Cook, Rivers, Gbinijie and Plumlee3, and would give the class a player at each position (Daniels is a 3/4).

...And I thought next year’s team would be really special if I were to return. I think we have five recruits coming in with the addition of DeAndre Daniels.

Austin Rivers and Quinn Cook had good games last night as the USA defeated the World Select Team 92-80 in the Nike Hoop Summit at the Rose Garden in Portland:

Rivers scored 20 points while Cook added 12 points.

Alex Murphy will be arriving at Duke a year early so he is now Class of 2011:

The 2011-12 roster is now comprised of 12 recruited scholarship players; DeAndre Daniels will make it 13 if he picks Duke. I cannot remember a class with six freshman. We are going to be a little young next year, but extremely talented.

Mark Alarie, Jay Bilas, Johnny Dawkins, David Henderson, Bill Jackman and Weldon Williams arrived on campus in August of 1982.

Touche! That was a great class but I always forget about Jackman who transferred and Williams who had a forgettable career.

To be honest, the reason I remember that class so well is that I was working for Coach K as his office assistant during their recruitment and their first two years on campus. I can still remember those kids' home addresses because I typed so many recruiting letters to them.

On Quinn Cook's twitter feed (a retweet):
Why can't carolina players get on the internet? They can't put 3 "w's" together.
