No. Curling.
It's as close to a broom as I could find.

FTR, I actually rather like curling, and always really enjoy watching it during the Olympics.

EJ, any plans to do round-by-round updates on our pool standings? I guess that's rather a lot of work, so no worries if the answer is no.
I am quite pleased with my performance after the first half of round 1 (I refuse to adhere to the NCAA's new naming convention and call it the "second round"). I got 13 of 16 games on day 1. I never do very well in these things, so I'll take that.
And surely, the weauxfgods have heard the above, and I will go 2 for 16 today.

Wilson, it may be after games have started today but yes, I will post the standings updated through last night by 5:30 p.m. today.
We have 17 participants: 7 Women, 10 Men.
I've "graded" six brackets so far and you ARE leading with 28 points. You were tied but your bonus answer of Richmond gave you two extra points. Worst one so far is 12 points. Yours truly has 22.
Good luck today and again, will post standings though last night by 5:30!

Nope, behind soccer and cricket.
Anyone who can call hockey boring is on crack.

Meh, who cares about
anything that happens in Montreal?
And Toronto? They won the World Series in 1992 and 1993. Any idea who they beat in that '92 Series? Here's a hint - they play their homes games in Atlanta.

Almost 20 years of futility is nothing to celebrate. And hey, I grew up and Orioles fan, so, I know the pain of the A.L. East.

That might be true if I cared one iota about baseball. I used to like it but simply cannot bring myself to watch it any more. Far too boring for me, I'd rather watch replays of old hockey games during the summer months.

I'm with Colchar. Baseball is a snoozefest. The only reason they sell beer there is that beer makes anything so boring at least tolerable. Churches should test that theory.

Well, can't argue about one's tastes. You either like it or you don't. Me? I LOVE baseball. It's not just the game. It's the ballpark, the weather, the brew, the scenery if you will. It just an orgasm of "outside in the park where everything feels perfect." And one of the beauties of the game for those of us who love it, is that there is PLENTY of fingernail-chewing, teeth-gnashing suspense. It's just a different kind. You have move time to agonzie about what may or may not happen. And OH the strategies! I wish they'd play baseball for more than half the year! Oh wait, they do!
Buy me some peanuts and Cracker Jacks (and beer)! I don't care if I ever get back! Cause it's root, root ROOT for the Braves team; if they don't win it's a shame! For it's ONE, TWO, THREE strikes you're out (and likely drunk) at the ollllld ballllllllllll Gammmmmmmmmme!!!!

I've said a number of times in recent years that I want 'Take Me Out to the Ballgame' played at my funeral, and I want my ashes spread at Turner Field.
I'm not even kind of joking.
Braves home opener + Duke title on April 5, 2010 was one of the two or three best days of my life. I'm getting chills just typing this.
