Re: Ymm, Beer!
I returned from Fort Collins this evening. I brought back with me a 12 pack of Fat Tire in cans and a 12 pack of Sunshine in cans. I bought cans to make it easier to transport--these seemed to be the only New Belgium products in cans so far. While visiting the grand kids, I also found time to visit ...

Re: Ymm, Beer!
My wife and I are driving to Fort Collins starting this Tuesday. One of the reasons we are driving this time is so as to have space on the return trip for--you guessed it--beer. My lovely wife has suggested that we visit the New Belgium Brewery AGAIN--what a woman. the brewery is about 5 minutes fro...

I went through this about three months ago--I feel your pain. My wife drove me to and fro--I had her stop at an upscale breakfast cafe afterwards--best French toast I had ever eaten. I do remember the nurse starting the drugs, about two sentences of conversation with the doc and then waking up in po...

Re: Ymm, Beer!
I went to a beer tasting at my favorite beer store last night. A four beer pour for $1.00. I tried Ithica Apricot Wheat (bought a sixer), Bell's Porter(bought a sixer) Bell's Oberon, and one hoppy beer by Ithica whose name escapes me. My wife made chicken fajitas tonight and I drank an apricot brew ...

I tried the Sammy Blackberry tonight while grilling chicken. I enjoyed it much more than the Cherry Wheat. The Blackberry had just a hint of fruit--a quality I find admirable in a fruit beer. It is 80 degrees and humid here now--I may have another. ![Happy :)](./images/smilies/1.gif)

Re: MLB stadiums attended
If you are ever in the Toledo area during baseball season, catch a Mud Hens game. The stadium is great--and you can walk a block to a Tony Packo's. My wife and I saw a game in Fenway a few weeks ago. We stayed in a hotel close enough to walk to the game. This was overall a great experience.

Happy Birthday Ohioguy! A beautiful day to be on the water! Enjoy and cheers to ya! How is the fishing? :ymparty: The day after my birthday and it is raining--thus the river is WAY too high and muddy to seek fish. :( We have had some luck with bass in the rivers during the last couple of weeks, but...

Thank you everyone--I am now "officially" old. The Medicare card is in the wallet. My lovely wife and I chose an Italian place for dinner--penne pasta and shrimp. She baked me a strawberry pie for my "cake". I believe I will enjoy my favorite porter, the Ed. Fitz., with the pie--don't know how they ...

Re: Ymm, Beer!
First, the reason for the purchases. My wife and I have rented a house near Bar Harbor, Maine for a week this summer. I wanted to explore Maine products. Second, the initial choices. Two blueberry brews(it is Maine, after all). The first was brewed in Bar Harbor, the second was brewed by Seas Dog. ...

Re: Ymm, Beer!
GLBC's Conway's Irish Red. A very "pretty" beer in the glass. It went well with the spicy chili my wife had fixed us last evening. The beer was a little "toasty" to use their term, so some may not like it. On sale for $5.99 a sixer at Andersons in the Toledo area. My beer lady told me "when its gone...

Re: Ymm, Beer!
I did invite bluebear, who posts occasionally on the OTB about beer, in addition to ohioguy2 and SlimSlowSlider who have not posted in a while about their tastings. I'm here. Thanks for the invite! I did not know this site existed. Last night I had a couple of Goose Island 312's with our pork chop ...
