Re: Weather so WACK it deserves it's own Thread.
Thank you. I'm mostly happy now. I'm not convinced that "Thread" should be capitalized since it is not a proper noun. Some would argue that it should be capitalized. I'm certain that "WACK" is CFE (capitalized for emphasis). :9f: Yeah, I wasn't saying I had a problem with the all-caps, just that it...
Re: LTE 2.0
I have a grammar question, and I can't think of a better place to ask it. Is "addicting" a real, acceptable word? It seems to me as though people are using "addicting" when they should be using "addictive." For example, "The game Words with Friends is addicting." One of my family members used the w...

Re: Game of Thrones
I've read the series. They're very good. Like Joe said, we've been waiting quite some time for the next book. It sounds like this summer's release date is actually much more real than any of the dates before. He used to post on his blog "I should have it finished sometime this summer" and then summ...

Re: Game of Thrones
Then again, when I read the Dune series it was complete (I consider those written by Frank Herbert to be part of the series...anything else is an add on) and I read them back to back to back....by which point I was ready to get my own stillsuit. :D I was on Dune overload - a little too much of a go...

Re: What's for dinner?
We've been working on eating through our chest freezer before the big move next weekend. Tonight we turned the chuck roast into a nice beef and three-bean chili. With cornbread. I also found a big bag of arborio rice in the pantry, so I spontaneously made some rice pudding. Later this week I will do...

Re: Suggestions Needed...
My good friends run a dog rescue based out of the triangle area (Holly Springs really). They are VERY smart about their dogs and may be able to help guide you. They have quite a few dogs who need homes and though many of them are large breeds (husky, aussie, lab) there are a handful who are smaller ...

So I work for a government contractor. All the work I do is billed to the US government. A couple weeks ago my management sent out an email saying they were "working on provisions" for what happens if there's a government shutdown. Well today I found out that means "working on provisions for decidi...

Re: The TMI thread
Apparently one of my dogs ingested an entire 8-inch long piece of grass whole. I discovered it on its way out. It required manual extraction. This was yesterday. 8 inches is pretty long for my small dogs.
