Re: LTE 2.0

I got screwed, we all did.

Lightning struck a control tower in Atlanta so I'm stuck here for the night. Cats have been moved to a kennel where they'll receive food and water, and get out of the crate. I feel so bad. :(

Re: Vibes Request

We made it to Atlanta and I suppose the cats are cool. Strangely enough, once we got into the airport they calmed down. Hope the flight wasn't too rough. One three hour layover, one flight, and one more 30 min drive to go. Thanks for the vibes everyone. Glad its going well...G+K hope the rest of th...

Re: Ymm, Beer!

I must say, I am disappointed (sorta) with the 420 by sweetwater. It's mild at best and doesn't stand up to the west coast pale ale label. There is barely a nose and it has little impact on my palette. This would be the only west coast pale ale that I could drink back to back to back to back. The gu...

Re: Vibes Request

Ugh, but tomorrow is hell day. I am flying my cats to my parent's house in Charlotte before I move back next month. The cats and I have a nine hour trip (loooong layover in Atlanta) not including the ride downtown through traffic. To make the day even more unbearable, I'll be worrying about my cats...

Re: What Musical Instrument Does Your Kid Play?

My three older sons play piano and in my totally unbiased opinion, they are all quite good. The youngest will learn someday but I've told him that he's my last chance for a violin player so, before he can protest too much, I'm going to have him take violin lessons. Number 3 son wants to start takin...

Re: What Musical Instrument Does Your Kid Play?

My son, Josh, started out on the violin, then switched to guitar and now plays both drums and guitar. He's in an alternative/punk/indie rock band in Chicago. I, Jeremy, started out on the violin too, then switched to bass. I was in a few indie/punk bands back in the day. Is Josh a Duke fan? He's ra...

Re: calling all Shin Kickers...

This has been a day. Okay, remember that closing for my condo is in 2 days? Well, maybe now "was" in 2 days. When I arrived at the final walk-through this afternoon, my realtor was on the phone with my loan officer. Bank of America rejected my mortgage application today because the condo associatio...

Re: LTE 2.0

Insects and arachnids need to eat too... I support insect rights, even arachnids. I try not to kill anything, but they were invading! Are they edible? If so, get more cats... They let me down big time. My cats are master hunters, but they find the earwigs unbelievably boring. They show them no inte...

Re: What Musical Instrument Does Your Kid Play?

I'm sitting here listening to my son practice his trumpet. He has improved so much this year. I was wondering if any of the rest of you have kids who play musical instruments? :ymparty: My kiddos enjoyed the harmonica (mine)...... but lost it, so there went the interest! I got a guitar and the work...

Re: Tattoos...

I am not a fan of tattoos at all and am wondering when the trend will die off. Strangely enough, my office mate is doing his PhD dissertation on the history of tattooing. I don't think tattoos are a trend. They may have gained more notoriety in mainstream culture over the past 20 years, but tattooi...

Re: LTE 2.0

In the past 24 hours I have slaughtered at least 50 earwigs. For some reason we're finding a bunch of spiders in our house this year. Not big ugly ones, but still... In my opinion, spiders are far worse and I usually let them go unless I see one in the bedroom before I go to sleep. If a spider had ...
