Re: an interesting dilemma...
Congrats, Ozzie; you hit the nail on the head. My boss is veering more over on the major league schmuck side of the scale. Pushy PI has actually said a couple of times that he respects me. He even told me that this is going out with his name on it, so he wants it to be right. He then said, "I hope ...

Re: Wheat and devildeac
At the risk of proving to ya'll that I'm a blithering idiot, who's Wheat? Love, Ima The guy in the picture. :D (also he's a guy who posts oy and wears strange shades of blue) I remember Wheat/"/"/" posting OY when OY still had the old, old posting codes system. I'm pretty sure he was one of the fol...
Re: Seattle
I've lived here for 8(!) years now, it's finally starting to feel like home. I know this, because sunny days generally stress me out now. Grey days after a stretch of sun feel like getting home after a vacation -- you enjoyed it, but it's not ... normal. It's very green, lots of trees & mountains. B...

Caspar Babypants is back on. I have to say some of the music on The Playground has brought back childhood memories (Mary Poppins music, and Bedknobs and Broomsticks) but I can't say that about Caspar Babypants and The Chipettes covering Metallica's "So What?" My contacts have been well lubricated, ...

Re: The Job Search Thread
Headed down the same path...not Morganton, but the Job Search thing. Oh yeah? Cincy not to your liking, or the job there? Lmk if you want to move into the tech world; there's quite the Owen alum network in this town these days. In fact, Dean Bradford's out here right now; I won't be able to attend ...

Re: The Job Search Thread
Talked to my friend that works for the company with which I had the phone interview. She told me that they're extremely slow, so I shouldn't take it as a bad sign if I haven't heard anything back from them. That makes me feel much better! Anyway, I'm getting some advice from her on how to proceed -...

Hang in there, tall man! Eventually (hopefully), ILJ will be back to her normal, mobile, pain-free self, and it will all be worth it!Lavabe wrote: Because someone had to take care of ILJ.

Still holding our breath over a couple of spots. And she's still having pain we don't understand. She has an appointment with the surgeon tomorrow. I'll post the latest news after that. Thanks for the continued vibes. They aren't going to waste, that's fer sher! She's taking short walks early in th...
Re: Exercise!
I got out with some other new moms, for a 40 min. walk, carrying an additional 12lbs with me (also known as FutureDA.) We then went and strolled around the newly renovated (and reorganized, hence the strolling) Target. My knees are not happy, so I sympathize with you, lawgrad.
Re: LTE 2.0
I just got a manicure. I love having pretty nails.
(This is a huge change from my nail-biting ways which lasted until around May 5 of this year.)

Thanks everyone. Baby Jack is doing very well. Big sister Katie is in love. She cant get enough of "her" baby. With luck, we'll be able to go home tonight. Squeeeeee!!! What a cutie! Congrats to you and Lisa on an adorable little boy! Hope you are both getting some rest and getting settled into you...
Re: LTE 2.0
I'm watching less and less TV these days. Unless it is automobile related. Overhaulin', MuscleCar TV, Wrecks to Riches, etc. The occasional Mecum Auction. In other words, I watch Discovery, Speed, and HD Theater mostly. Along with business news. The only dogs I saw yesterday, were people's pets. Do...

Glad she came through surgery w/ no complications. Hope the pain stays abated, and PT goes well. Be sure to get some rest yourself, Lavabe!
