Re: So, Since Y'all Got An Election Coming Up...
Not that we're impacted at all by Sandy, but Washington State is now entirely vote-by-mail. For those of us who could afford to take the time to go to the polling station, and liked getting the "I voted" sticker, it's kind of a bummer we don't have that option, but from a pure perspective of making ...

My sincerest condolences on the loss of your father. 91 - what a deep well of life's experiences he must have had. I hope the memories of him help ease your sorrows at this time. ![Big hug :ymhug:](./images/smilies/6.gif)

Hey EJ,
I'm connected to this profile of yours: http://www.linkedin.com/pub/dan-boon/2/300/208
But that seems out of date. I might suggest you close it out if you aren't using it, and want recruiters to find your 'real' profile.
I've sent an invite to your other profile.

Re: LTE 2.0
Nope. Trip cancelled. If I took the rescheduled flight, I would've had 24 hrs with my family before turning around and flying back. Not worth it since I was there last month and will head up for Thanksgiving. Ugh, that sucks extra hard that you won't even get to see your fam, I'm sorry. Luckily*, T...

Hey AD, saw via FB that you're having travel woes. I hope they get worked out, and you get to where you're going in time to do what you were hoping to do! Hugs for dealing with crappy air travel!

They do make a mighty fine Riesling. I'm also partial to their Cabernet.lawgrad91 wrote:The smallest members of the lawgrad family![]()

Meanwhile, I'm enjoying a glass of Riesling from DA's neck of the woods, Chateau Ste. Michelle in Woodinville, WA.

Actually, we're already bowl eligible, based on our graduation rates. (But only if there aren't enough teams with a 6-win season.)

Re: Mangum wants to go alone
Just heard on WTVD11 abc, that Crystal Mangum faxed over from the Durham County Jail to the judge, that she wants to release her attorney (which is the 3rd attorney appointed to her case), that she wants to represent herself, and Go It Alone! I knew she was whacked, but trying to Go It Alone, witho...

Ugh, touchscreen laptops? Part of the reason I want a new laptop is because my ipad drives me crazy sometimes. My big fingers just can't hit the right thing all the time. If that's the best they've got for the new generation of computers, no thanks. I'll stay in the past. I am with you 1000% on tou...

Sorry. I posted all of that when I started this thread, but I realize that was months ago. I don't do much gaming on pc. I'm mostly a console guy when it comes to that, though that's pretty much due to my never having owned a laptop that didn't suffer nasty slow downs during gaming b/c 99% of mobil...

Re: Need help from the computer folks...
Finally got my shit together and am picking a laptop. Just a few quick questions about options: 1. Big price jump from 8 to 12 to 16 GBs RAM, basically $100/jump. Is it worth the jump? Will I notice a difference? I assume I want at least 12, but what about the 16? 2. Big price jump to go from i7 2....

Deposited in Blackwell dormitory on Tuesday. Starting classes today. I shall do my best to inform him of the CrazieTalkers on Blue Devil Alley next Sunday. Ozzie tells me it's Sunday. Is that true? Congrats to Son of BD! (And to BD for having a legacy at Duke!) Is Blackwell one of the "new dorms" b...

Re: LTE 2.0
Thanks, all, for the condolences. Grandma did live a wonderful, long life, and I was lucky to have been able to spend quality time with her for so much of my life. I distinctly remember two days, I was back in Nebraska visiting her between Freshman & Soph year at Duke. We spent the bulk of each day ...
